About the artist
Inanna is a bluesy folk-ish singer/songwriter living near Ann Arbor, Michigan.
From an early age, Inanna was mesmerized by sound. Beginning violin at age 3, she has played several instruments over the decades but found the most joy in singing. She took a long break from music during which she got various college degrees and worked unfulfilling jobs and then returned to music after the birth of her children. They taught her many things, including how to dance and sing again.
Inanna's music reflects a strong sense of fairness and justice. She does not shrink from difficult topics, but never loses hope due to the simple idea that even our biggest problems were created by people and therefore, people have the ability to solve them. She believes that singing is for everyone and, in a culture pathologically focused on banishing sadness and grief, sometimes it's healthier to wail.
Inanna is currently writing, recording, and playing live as much as possible.
